In order to provide free legal aid and advice to the downtrodden sections of society, the CSRE has launched a project of free legal aid and advice to the needy applicants.The retired judges and advocates of CSRE are providing free legal advice to the needy during working days. The legal cell is headed by Jb. Bashir Ahmad Shaikh, Retd Principal and District Judge under the guidance of Justice M.N Gilani Retd. High Court Judge.

About 200 Legal Cases have been dealt with by the legal team since inception in 2022  till date. The cases relating to matrimonial, property disputes, criminal, civil,waqf and service matters are mostly dealt with. Many cases are resolved amicably with the active intervention of legal aid cell

Prisoners and under-trials are also provided help

The cell also carries out the legal awareness programs on critical current issues. Several awareness programs, online webinars and meetings at various social and religious centres were held to sensitize people on the legal aspects of the current issues like NRC/ CAA /UCC/ Waqf Amendment bill 2024 /Electoral registration etc.

Waqf Guidance and support program.

CSRE provides free legal guidance on waqf matters. Several waqf institutions approach the legal aid centre for seeking guidance on waqf matters. The waqf institutions like Masjid, Madarsas have been provided with free legal advice on registration, management disputes and development of properties by President CSRE (Ex CEO, Maharashtra State Waqf Board) .Maharashtra state and national level seminars organised by various organizations like Jamate Islami, Waqf task force, Zakat foundation of India were addressed by CSRE president on waqf.

Masjid Networking  program

CSRE has undertaken  masjid networking program with a view to form a federation like platform for the each city to carry out social and developmental programs through masjid community centres and to spread the important messages through Friday prayer selmon.
